DIPLOMATIC VISA Download the form
This visa shall be issued to holders of diplomatic passports, in possession of the following documents:
- A duly filled out form
- Diplomatic Passport
- Verbal note from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs or the Diplomatic Mission of the applicant country
- Copy of Letter of Request
- Two passport photos
- Copy of the International Certificate of Vaccination
- Fees: None
Note: 1 – The presence of the Visa Applicants is necessary for the collection of biometric data. 2 – The amount paid for the visa is not refundable. 3 – Days for Biometric data collection: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9h30 to 12h30.
OFFICIAL VISA
In order to obtain an official visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- A duly filled out form
- Official passport or United Nations Laissez-Passer
- Verbal note from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs or the Diplomatic Mission of the applicant country
- Copy of Letter of Request
- Two passport photos
- Copy of the International Certificate of Vaccination
- Fees: None
Note: 1 – The presence of the Visa Applicants is necessary for the collection of biometric data. 2 – The amount paid for the visa is not refundable. 3 – Days for Biometric data collection: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9h30 to 12h30.
TOURIST VISA
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- International Certificate of Vaccination
- Reservation of Hotel, or confirmation of lodging by an Angolan citizen
- Proof of means of subsistence
- Passport and copy of the mainly used pages (Passport must must be valid for at least 1 year)
- Two passport photos
- Proof of travel ticket or flight booking
- Fees : CHF 70.-
- Multiple entries Visa – CHF 210.-
For urgencies, a further 25% of the value will be charged. N.B.:The applicants of this type of visa (valid for up to 30 days) must deliver the application dossier three weeks before the travel date. Note: 1 – The presence of the Visa Applicants is necessary for the collection of biometric data. 2 – The amount paid for the visa is not refundable. 3 – Days for Biometric data collection: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9h30 to 12h30. 4 – The visa is issued within 3 (three) weeks.
TRANSIT VISA
In order to obtain a transit visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- A duly filled out form
- International Certificate of Vaccination
- Two passport photos
- Photocopy of travel ticket
- Passport and copy of the mainly used pages
- Proof of visa to enter the destination country or exemption from it
- Fees : CHF 50
For urgencies, a further 25% of the value will be charged. N.B.:This visa is valid for a period of seven days. SHORT-STAY VISA
Note: 1 – The presence of the Visa Applicants is necessary for the collection of biometric data. 2 – The amount paid for the visa is not refundable. 3 – Days for Biometric data collection: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9h30 to 12h30. In order to obtain a short-stay visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- Passport and copy of the mainly used pages
- Two passport photos
- Copy of the International Certificate of Vaccination
- Proof of means of subsistence
- Stamped envelope for passport return
- Fees: CHF 80.-
For urgencies, a further 25% of the value will be charged. N.B.: 1- The applicants of this type of visa holding an invitation letter from an oil sector company must ensure that the Ministry of Oils acknowledge the letter. 2 – This type of visa is valid for a period of 7 days.
STUDY VISA
Note: 1 – The presence of the Visa Applicants is necessary for the collection of biometric data. 2 – The amount paid for the visa is not refundable. 3 – Days for Biometric data collection: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9h30 to 12h30. In order to obtain a study visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- Copy of certificate of criminal records
- Medical certificate from the country of origin
- Proof of means of subsistence
- Three passport photos
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Fees:
N.B.: All documents in a foreign language necessary to obtain a long-stay visa – up to 12 months must be duly translated into Portuguese and legalised by the chancellery of the relevant canton.
MEDICAL TREATMENT VISA
In order to obtain a medical treatment visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- Medical report from the country of origin
- Proof of medical appointment
- Document issued by the health institution to which the applicant shall be admitted
- Copy of certificate of criminal records from the country of origin
- Proof of means of subsistence
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Three passport photos
- Proof of payment of the migration flow
- Fees:

PRIVILEGED VISA
In order to obtain a privileged visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy

- Investor Certificate
- Proof of the Certificate of Capital Importation for the requested investment, issued by the banking authority
- Valid power of attorney in favour of the representative of the investor in Angola (if applicable)
- Copy of the certificate of criminal records from the country of origin
- Medical certificate issued at the country of origin
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Three passport photos
- Proof of payment of the migration flow
- Fees: CHF. 250.-

In order to obtain a work visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- A duly filled out form
- Application from the contracting entity requesting the visa
- Employment contract or preliminary employment contract
- Opinion of MAPESS or of another supervisory authority
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Photocopy of the Official Gazette/Diário da República (on corporate constitution)
- Recent certificate of tax payment
- Certificate of academic and/or professional qualifications
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certificate of criminal records from the country of residence
- Medical certificate issued at the country of residence
- Three passport photos
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Fees: CHF 250.-

TEMPORARY STAY VISA
In order to obtain a temporary stay visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- Certificate of criminal records issued at the country of origin
- Medical certificate issued at the country of origin
- Proof of family relationship to national citizens
- Proof of means of subsistence and accommodation
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Three passport photos
- Proof of payment of the migration flow
- Fees: CHF 150.-
- For urgencies, a further 25% of the value will be charged.

In order to obtain a residence visa, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:
- Applicant letter addressed to the Embassy
- A duly filled out form + Sheet + Folder
- Certificate of criminal records from the country of origin / residence
- Medical certificate issued at the country of residence
- Proof of sponsorship of the individual providing accommodation or proof of home ownership / lease.
- Proof of means of subsistence
- Declaration of commitment to the Angolan law
- Photocopy of the passport and of the mainly used pages
- Three passport photos
- Proof of payment of the migration flow
- Fees: CHF 200.-
For urgencies, a further 25% of the value will be charged.
