Hashmark
The hashmark of the Republic of Angola is formed by a section of an dentated wheel and by a ramagem of maize, coffee and cotton, representing respectively the workers and the industrial production, the camponeses and the agricola production.
In the base of the set, it exists an opened book, symbol of the education and culture and the rising sun, meaning the new Country. To the center, it is placed a catana and a hoe, símbolizando the work and the beginning of the fight armed. To the top of a mountain it appears the star, symbol of international solidarity and the progress.
